The Horse Rangers Association has two squadrons that collectively form a member group of the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA). Squadron 6 operates during term time and offers riding sessions for our members. Squadron 7 operates throughout the year on a Wednesday evening and in addition to riding, Squadron 7 Rangers learn how to care for and look after the horses.

Sessions focus on individual targets and goals for each rider. We use games and activities using coloured items and visual cues, along with specialised equipment, to encourage riders to develop their skills through learning.

Our RDA groups take part in their own annual event, RDA Open Day, where our riders take part in fun games and we celebrate their achievements for the year. We also take part in external events, including Royal Windsor Horse Show, where we compete in the RDA Fancy Dress Competition.

Our RDA groups could not exist without the help and support of our fantastic volunteers. To learn more about them and how to get involved in volunteering with us, please click here.
