Become a Horse Ranger – Mainstream Waiting List
If you would like to become a member of the Horse Rangers Association, please read the information below and fill out the form below.
Please note: Due to popular demand, we have to operate a waiting list for membership. If your child is over 13 then it is probably not worth adding them to the waiting list as they are unlikely to get a place. If your child has not been offered a place by the time they reach the age of 14 they will be removed from the waiting list.
We do ask for a monthly donation from all members, but assisted places are available for those who would struggle with this, (Autumn 2023 update: No availabilities on our Supporting Families Programme until further notice).
When spaces become available, the office will contact the next person on the waiting list. It is important that you keep us up-to-date with any changes of address/contact details so that we can contact you when your name gets to the top of the list.
While you are on the waiting list, you may be invited to our various events like our annual Gymkhana, which you are welcome to attend.
Weight Limits: We have a weight limit at Horse Rangers to protect the horses from injury. We are not able to accommodate all riders for this reason and we know that this will disappoint many people wanting to ride with us. Each horse is assessed for its weight carrying capability on a regular basis and we allocate riders to a horse based upon their weight, riding fitness and riding skill.
Please note that our current maximum weight limit for riders is 12 stone/ 76 kg; however, this may vary from time to time depending on the availability of horses.
NB: If your child has special needs and you believe he or she will benefit from one-to-one support, please fill in the RDA Waiting List Application Form instead. If you are unsure which programme would be best, please email the office admin@horserangers.com to discuss.
