The Band

The Horse Rangers band practices every Friday night in preparation for shows and events. It is a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere, and is a great way to meet new people.

The band attends numerous events during the year, including the St. Georges Day Parade, Remembrance Day ceremonies, Hampton Hill Christmas Lights, and Chestnut Sunday.

Our instruments include side drums, bass drums, tenor drums, cymbals, bell lyres, non-valved bass trumpets and silver fanfare trumpets all led by a drum major. Anyone over the age of eight may join, although adults will need to be CRB checked.

You don’t need to be a Horse Ranger who rides and you don’t even need to be able to play, as instruments and training will be provided.
