GYMKHANA - SATURDAY 6 & SUNDAY 7 SEPTEMBER 2008
Entries for this year's Gymkhana are now closed. The selections have been made and are on the boards by the canteen.
Stan Rawlinson 'the Dog Listener' will be running a dog show over the weekend - entries on the day. A reminder that all dogs must be kept on their leads during the gymkhana.
Unwanted gifts for tombolla or raffle prizes will be most welcome as would volunteers to help man the stalls/gate and with setting-up/clearing up.
This is a real family day and you are welcome to bring friends and family. There is a small entrance fee of £4 for adults and you only need pay once for admittance (with a programme) for the rest of the weekend.
For those on our waiting list this is a great opportunity to come and find out what Horse Rangers is all about and to meet some of the members.
We run a BBQ and refreshment tent so all you need to do is bring picnic blankets and chairs to enjoy watching a fabulous day of activities.
Plenty of parking is also available.
Venue: Gymkhana Field, the Stockyard, Bushy Park.
WAITING LIST
Due to popular demand, we operate a waiting list for membership.
For the 'Ponies' section (ages 8-10) the waiting list is currently five years
For the senior squadrons (ages 10+) the waiting list is currently two & a half years.
Application forms for membership can be downloaded from this website. When spaces become available, the office will contact the next person on the waiting list. It is important that you keep us up-to-date with any changes of address/contact details so that we can contact you when your name gets to the top of the list. Full subscriptions are currently £80 a month, however we offer a number of assisted places to Rangers who would not otherwise be able to participate.
RECRUITMENT
We currently have 2 part-time vacancies in the office. One role is for a Finance & Office Administrator and the other is for an Administrator. Job Descriptions for both positions are available - please email director@horserangers.com. The successful candidates will be CRB checked prior to joining the organisation.
SEARCH FOR A NEW TRUSTEE
We are pleased to announce that Martin Mitchell joined HRA as a Trustee at the end of May taking over from Stephen Greenhalgh as Company Secretary. We are very grateful to Stephen for all his work for HRA over the years and wish him every success in his new life in Edinburgh.
We are always pleased to hear from anyone who is interested in possibly becoming a Trustee of the association. If you, or someone you know, would be interested in taking an active role in shaping the future direction of the charity please let us know. We are especially keen to find individuals with Human Resources, Youth Development, Marketing and PR skills.
The role of Trustee is an unpaid post.
As with all staff and volunteers at the HRA, this role would be CRB checked as part of the selection process. Please email director@horserangers.com for more information.
