NEW HOME FOR DISNEY
We are delighted to announce the arrival of Disney. As many of you know, Disney was one of the horses rescued in 2008 from the animal abuse case at Spindles Farm. The Horse Trust have lovingly nursed him back to health but as he is only 5 they were keen to re-home here at the Mews where we will be able to train him to be ridden by our members.
We are extremely grateful to everyone who has donated so far to our appeal to raise money to help keep Disney during his first year here. This money will enable us to give him the time he needs to learn his new job of working at a stables and buy him all the things he needs to get started. If you are interested in donating on-line please visit Disney's own special site at http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/disney
To see his progress, visit our fan page on Facebook where there are some lovely photos and videos of his training so far.
A big thank you for everyone's generosity and support in securing Disney's future here at the Mews.
GYMKHANA WEEKEND 4 & 5 SEPTEMBER 2010
A big thank you to all the volunteers and staff who made last weekend's gymkhana such a success. Sadly as a reflection of the current economic climate this year's event did not raise as much funding for the charity as the previous year, but we covered the costs for the event and the Rangers all had a fabulous time.
Special thanks go to Wilf Voss who once again provided commentary throughout the 2 days, Stan Rawlinson for keeping everyone entertained with the dog show during the lunch time breaks and the Bradstreet family for once again doing a fabulous job running the BBQ throughout the weekend: all on a voluntary basis.
WAITING LIST
Due to popular demand, we operate a waiting list for membership.
For the 'Ponies' section (ages 8-10) the waiting list is currently five years
For the senior squadrons (ages 10+) the waiting list is currently four years.
Application forms for membership can be downloaded from this website. When spaces become available, the office will contact the next person on the waiting list. It is important that you keep us up-to-date with any changes of address/contact details so that we can contact you when your name gets to the top of the list. Full subscriptions are currently £82 a month, however we offer a number of assisted places to Rangers who would not otherwise be able to participate.
